The Rome-Floyd Cardboard Challenge

Communities in Schools co-sponsors the annual Rome-Floyd Cardboard Challenge.

The Cardboard Challenge is a fun, creativity-stimulating, competitive event that is designed for area elementary, middle, and high school students. The Challenge brings together science, math, and innovation. Materials used have to be 100% recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper, plastic bottles or cans. Students compete in the categories of Art, Arcade Games, and Designer’s Choice to find out who can make the best robot, spaceship, or building!

The most recent Cardboard Challenge was a great event! Thank you to our sponsors!

The event was held at the GNTC Aviation Center. 75 participants competed in events. Event winners who placed were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals. Concessions like popcorn, soft drinks, breakfast items, candy bars, and chips were offered to the competitors. The event t-shirt was redesigned as well.
