Communities In Schools of Rome-Floyd County

Rome Middle School

Rome Middle School serves as the CIS Model School for our affiliate. Essentially, this means that the CIS framework is operating at true and maximum fidelity by placing a Site Coordinator on the campus of Rome Middle School.

CONSUELO SAXTON - SITE COORDINATOR

Ms. Saxton case-manages student progress by closely monitoring academics, attendance, and discipline.

The Site Coordinator serves a vital role in two specific ways. First, the SC maintains a student caseload in which regular contact is made with students who are not achieving their full potential. CIS supports them by addressing the underlying issue and providing and/or connecting them with the means to improve.

Additionally, Ms. Saxton provides the whole student body with general resources and services such as school supplies, hygiene resources, clothing items, Family Engagement programs and PBIS initiatives.

Also, CIS understands the importance of staff/faculty morale and satisfaction in the school climate. Therefore, we sponsor staff activities like the annual Back to School breakfast, “a Fueling Station”, Staff Luncheons, and Teacher Appreciation Week.
