Executive Director: Gregory Wooten, BS, MPA

Mr. Wooten is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the CIS of Rome-Floyd local affiliate.

 

His specific duties include developing community partnerships, resource development, marketing and public relations, managing and developing CIS sites, and supervising data collection and reporting.


Gregory is a seasoned

Mr. Wooten is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the CIS of Rome-Floyd local affiliate.

 

His specific duties include developing community partnerships, resource development, marketing and public relations, managing and developing CIS sites, and supervising data collection and reporting.


Gregory is a seasoned professional with the proven ability and experience in the areas of education, program development, and non-profit leadership. 


He worked almost 20 years in the Georgia Statewide Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Network. Additionally, Wooten has worked on the college level in the roles of Adjunct Instructor and Student Services Coordinator.


Mr. Wooten received a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Albany State University. He also received the Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Education from Troy University. Wooten possesses certifications in the Executive Manager Learning Pathway Program, Non-Profit Management, and Site Coordinator Management. 


He is a Graduate of Leadership Rome Class XXVII, serves on the Board of Directors of the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, Floyd County College and Career Academy, and the Blue Ridge Area Health Education Center (AHEC).

Ms. Saxton is responsible for the implementation and managing of the CIS model at Rome Middle School (RMS).


Ms. Saxton's primary responsibility at RMS is managing a caseload of students. These students are monitored in one or more of three areas - academics, attendance, and discipline.


Some of her other initiatives include training Mentors

Some of her other initiatives include training Mentors and Volunteers, obtaining and supplying student basic needs (food, hygiene, clothing), monitoring student attendance, supporting Family Engagement activities, and supporting staff/faculty efforts and activities

.

Ms. Saxton is well known and has a varied background in the Rome-Floyd community. Her background includes an Assistant Coach at Georgia Highlands College, Assistant Director at Hospitality House for Women.


Ms. Saxton possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
