Communities In Schools of Rome-Floyd County

Coosa Middle School (CMS)

The CIS program at Coosa Middle School is an initiative based on a school Needs Assessment. From that data, focus areas can range from improving attendance to increasing parental engagement. Specific initiatives CIS supports are Donuts for Dads and Muffins for Moms, Teacher Appreciation Day, Awards Day, Hard Work Café, Career Day, Backpack Buddies, and Angel Tree.

Emanuel Woods - Site Coordinator

Woods maintains a Primary Caseload Initiative which may focus on attendance monitoring or another area.

Specific methods to address this initiative may be Incentive Programs like group meetings, field trips, and special recognition.
